This webinar will provide an overview and practical advice for employers regarding the changes and the focus of the Biden Administration. In particular, it will provide information regarding: Federal agency and regulatory updates from the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Labor, OSHA,NLRB, and EEOC; recent Executive Orders; pending and recently decided Supreme Court cases; and, pending and recently enacted federal legislation. Additionally, it will discuss applicable updates and changes at the state and local level such as newly passed legislation and updates from state agencies.
Greg Peters is the managing shareholder for the Minneapolis law firm of Peters, Revnew, Kappenman & Anderson, P.A. Greg’s practice is split between traditional labor law, employment litigation, and employment and business counseling and advice. Greg has represented employers before federal, state and local courts and agencies, and in arbitrations throughout the United States in disputes involving virtually all areas of labor and employment law. The agencies include the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Department of Labor, and parallel state and local agencies. He also provides advice or training to employers in all areas of labor and employment law and employee relations. Greg is licensed in Minnesota, Wisconsin, several federal district and appellate courts, and the United States Supreme Court.
Bob Schmitz joined Christensen Group in 2014. Previously, Bob was a partner at Schreifels and Associates, a Minnesota based employee benefits consulting firm. At Christensen Group, Bob is the Leader of the Employee Benefits department. Bob has a specific focus in the following areas: Regulatory Compliance (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA), Funding Analysis, Long-term Strategic Planning, and Claims Analytics. Bob graduated from St. Cloud University with a B.S. in Accounting.
