Account Manager - Small Group
This position is responsible for managing the coordination of services to benefit clients. The small group account manager will support the producer and the book of business in all service areas.
Salary Range: $54,200 - $80,000
Salary is dependent on collective experience, knowledge, and skillsets for the posted role.

Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate general knowledge of agency carriers, carrier/brokerage marketing and underwriting to coordinate with insurance companies to address client issues and solve client problems
- Demonstrate professionalism daily – appearance, approach, leadership etc.
- Support agency directives in effectively managing agency/carrier relationships
- Assist with annual renewals and prepare for annual open enrollment meetings
- Manage customer needs through servicing daily needs
- Assist with billing, claim and eligibility issues
- Support clients to implement changes in their benefit plans
- Provide other support whether apparent, required or needed
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Solid understanding of group benefits, including medical, dental, disability, life, and voluntary products, as well as COBRA, ERISA, FSA, HSA, and HRA plans
- Familiarity with both fully insured and level funded plan structures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel and a solid foundation in math
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently
- Excellent time management and self-direction capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to contribute in a team environment
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing departmental needs
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
- Ability to quickly learn and understand a broad range of human resources and employee benefits topics
- Willingness to obtain a resident Life and Health Insurance License within 45 days of hire
