Julius Gernes received his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 1988 and is admitted to multiple state and federal courts. His practice areas focus on restaurant/hospitality law, personal injury defense, insurance defense, premises liability defense, automobile/trucking litigation, construction defect, dram shop defense, FELA/railroad crossing litigation, and construction defect litigation. He is a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association, the Minnesota Trucking Association and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel.
Steven Pattee received his law degree with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1996 and is admitted to multiple state and federal courts. His practice areas focus on defense of civil lawsuits but include automobile, transportation, premises liability, liquor liability, and agribusiness disputes. Over the past ten years he has spoken at many training seminars of various topics related to claim investigation and evidence preservation.
In his free time, he volunteers as a conciliation court referee and otherwise can be found on a pool deck officiating for USA Swimming.
Dan Kugler is the Principal of Risk Management & Insurance Consultancy, LLC. a firm dedicated to providing services to risk management and insurance professionals through risk management consulting(including expert testimony), continuing education which includes college level course as an adjunct instructor. He has over 40 years’ experience in risk management, employee benefits, and insurance education. Dan received his bachelor’s degree of business administration from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, MBA from Loyola University Chicago, and Advanced Management certificate in Enterprise Risk Management from Georgia State University. He holds the following designations: RIMS-CRMP, ACI,CPCU, ARM, AIC, INS and CEBS.
Joe Blee joined Christensen group in 2000. Previously, Joe worked for W.A. Lang as a commercial property/casualty producer. Prior to that, he was a Personal Insurance and Property/Inland Marine underwriter at Chubb. Joe has a specific focus in the following products and industries: Hotels, Resorts and Waterparks, Technology, Manufacturing, Food Processing (including Product Recall), Commercial Real Estate, Non-Profits, and Personal Insurance (High Net Worth). Joe graduated from St. John’s University (MN) with a B.S. in Psychology. Joe is married with two boys. He enjoys hunting, fishing and anything outdoors with his family.
