Barbie Abel is the Commercial Lines Department Training & Audit Leader at Christensen Group. Barbie began her insurance career in 2012 in her home state of Iowa, working in Personal Lines, Health, and Accident. After relocating to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, she transitioned into Commercial Lines, where she advanced from Client Manager to Operations Supervisor. In that role, she led staff training and developed workflows and procedures for a multi-location agency with seven offices.
Barbie holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
She lives west of the Twin Cities with her husband, Aaron, whom she married in May 2025. The couple enjoys gardening and fishing at the nearby lakes and recently completed a full remodel of their home just days before their wedding.
Barbie is passionate about a wide range of hobbies, including reading, kayaking, lifting weights, playing piano, and sewing. She and Aaron love tackling outdoor projects together and spending time in nature.
