As a Client Advocate you provide direct support to producers and internal team members to aid both the retention of existing business and generation of new business. Your main focus is excellent customer service and managing daily client business insurance needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day client management
• Support team in handling of calls/emails andinvestigate questions and concerns from insured (Billing, Change Requests,Certificates, Basic Policy questions)
• Process Agency Bill and Premium Finance requests
• Process incoming mail (postal & email) forthe team and distribute
• Process cancellation notices/non-payment issues;advise CM/AE/Producer to handle final cancellations
• Policy review — review policies, send changerequests to companies, update schedules and applications, and prepare forpolicy delivery
• Deliver policies as directed by Producer/CM/AE
• Request and process policy endorsements
• Issue certificates of insurance, includingsimple contract review — Special Handling Certificates sent to CM/AE
• Prepare policy endorsements based on certificaterequests
• Process premium audits — disputed audits go toCM/AE
• Follow agency procedures for EPIC
New/Renewal Marketing
• Review expiration checklist to maintain youraccounts
• Work with team to coordinate market-readysubmissions, including specialty applications
• Prepare and send exposure information andsupplemental applications to client and/or producer
• Assist team in obtaining Loss Runs
• Review and roll renewal submissions or createAcord applications & prepare Indio submission for renewal info gathering asdirected by the team
• Online rating with carriers as required forcoverage placement as directed by team
• Prepare finance agreements with finance companies

• Demonstrate general knowledge of agencycarriers, carrier/broker marketplace, and underwriting in order to coordinatewith insurance companies to address client issues and solve client problems
• Keep management informed of known actions,written or verbal, that may affect the ability to successfully performassignments or adversely affect the Company operations
• Contribute to creating a safe and fun learningenvironment
• Commit to continued education to grow skills andknowledge

The Client Advocate role provides foundational knowledge and skills for a long career in insurance. Individuals may decide to grow technical skills to prepare for a more strategic, Client Manager or Account Executive Role, or become experts in the Client Advocate role and train best practices to others. Often it takes 18-24 months to learn the Client Advocate role before taking on a new role or position.
• At least 2 years of Business Insurance customer service experience (required)
• Ability to service a business insurance book of business with little to no guidance (required)
• Ability to work in a team setting (required)
• Microsoft Office experience, specifically Word and Excel (required)
• Detail-oriented (required)
• Ability to organize and prioritize work responsibilities (required)
• Excellent communication skills — verbal and written (required)
• Active Resident Property and Casualty insurance license (required)
• Epic experience (preferred)
