Marketing Executive
The Marketing Executive will report to the President of Property and Casualty Insurance and will coordinate new business as well as facilitate renewals with carriers. This role will be working in a dynamic function with many different key players to ensure that we are able to provide the best insurance options to our clients through negotiation, coordination, and marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
New/Renewal Marketing
- Coordinate New/Renewal Process by working with Producer/Account Executive/Client Manager
- Responsible for marketing submissions to carriers, including application preparation, loss analysis, and other pertinent information for professional, quality new and renewal submissions
- Submit to appropriate carriers and follow-up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and policies.
- Analyze and compare carrier quotes for proper coverages, terms and conditions.
- Make insurance program recommendations
- Respond to underwriters in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance
- Help identify the need for new products and develop innovative solutions for clients
- Possess strong knowledge of insurance and the market including financial strength and risk appetite while keeping on top of the changing insurance and market conditions
- Assess the needs of clients and develop solutions to risk situations
- Analyze coverage, program financials, claim and loss rates, and other aspects to uncover opportunities for improvement
- Bind coverage for new/renewal business as directed by producer/Account Executive
- Coordinate and finalize subjectivities
- Understand insurance marketplace, carrier appetites, carrier programs, and services available
- Build and maintain relationships with underwriters and our carrier partners
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain culture of employee ownership – contribute time and support to agency/carrier events or activities that strengthen our culture
- Accept special assignments as directed by Department Managers
- Work openly and constructively with team members
- Represent Christensen Group in the greatest professional and ethical manner possible.
- Support agency in effectively managing agency/carrier relationships
- Keep management informed of known actions, written or verbal that may affect the ability to successfully perform assignments or adversely affect the Company operations
- Follow agency procedures for AMS360 and WorkSmart
Job requirements
Job Requirements
· 5 years of experience in Business Insurance marketing (or equivalent)
· Strong ability to influence and negotiate market strategies
· Deep understanding of market/carrier knowledge
· Technical Expertise; Ability to review contracts and understand exposures and coverages needed
· Microsoft Office experience (strong math and Excel background)
· AMS360 experience (desirable)
· Indio experience (desirable)
· Ability to navigate carrier websites
· Ability to multitask
· Detail-orientated
· Ability to organize and prioritize work responsibilities
· Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
· Self-starter and problem solver
· Minnesota Property and Casualty insurance license required
